Feature Spotlight: Advert-Free Days
Today we look at a feature designed to give something back to the regular users of the site – Advert-Free Days.
While the adverts on We7 are generally unobtrusive, there will be occasions where you will want to listen to some music without the ads – like if you are having a party, or just want to listen to you favourite album uninterrupted.
You’ll find your Advert-Free meter in the top right of the page, and also on your profile page. Move your mouse over the meter in the top right to see a pop-out telling you how much of advert-free day you’ve earned. Earning advert-free progress is triggered by listening to something, and goes up 10% every day that you listen.
To activate your advert-free day, you’ll need to go to your profile page. Yes, this means you will need to register, but don’t worry, your advert-free progress won’t be lost when you do. Click ‘Start advert-free day’ on your profile page, then confirm the pop-up, and you’re away!
Once you are listening without adverts, your meter will be replaced with an egg timer showing you how much of your advert-free day is left.
Enjoy a whole day without ads, for free. Something that a certain competitor charges 99p for!
